What You Will Learn
Falls, including those from scaffolding, take more lives on construction sites then any other reason. Construction sites, including hazardous waste operations and Brownfield Reclamation sites, by nature, are dangerous. Protect yourself and your fellow workers by learning how to identify fall hazards, initiate pre-planning, and implement effective controls. This course will review the OSHA standards covering fall protection in all types of operations, such as while working on scaffolding, ladders, and aerial lifts, or near excavated areas.  Attendees will review the latest requirements, industry recommendations and developments in fall protection technology and fall arrest systems. You will learn how to evaluate a variety of fall protection options and be able to select alternatives that are efficient for your operation and protect you. OSHA’s training requirements will also be covered.  Participants will receive a proper Scaffolding Safety Checklist to use back at the job site

Who Should Attend?
This program was created for all workers who may require fall protection while working on elevated surfaces, such as scaffolding, ladders or aerial lifts, as well as above excavated work areas. It will be especially useful for managers, supervisors, forepersons, H&S professionals, or anyone responsible for fall protection issues at their place of work. This training will meet OSHA’s requirements for a Competent Person in Fall Protection.
