What You Will Learn . . .
Students will be introduced to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and learn how to apply its requirements back at work. Emilcott uses lecture, field activities, group workshops and problem-solving drills to cover course topics.  Updated to meet the most recent regulatory changes, topics include: regulatory and hazardous waste industry overviews; hazard assessments; personal safety including PPE and SCBA; decontamination; site safety; emergency response; and practical field guidance. All instructors have in-depth working experience in the topics covered.

Who Should Attend?
OSHA requires that anyone who will be working on hazardous waste sites (including Brownfields must take this health and safety training course. The full 40-Hour Course is for anyone who may have to work in "Level C" PPE or above. The 24-Hour Course is for anyone who will NOT be required to work in "Level C" PPE or above. This may include engineers, environmental professionals, drillers, geologists, surveyors, operators, contractors, and health and safety officers. (Courses run simultaneously, however 24-hour participants will finish at noon on the third day).
