10-Hour OSHA Outreach Training in Construction
This course is administered by an OSHA-authorized instructor. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Wallet Card.

Who Should Attend?
You will get instruction in a variety of construction industry issues including an introduction to OSHA, OSH Act/General Duty Clause(a) (1), general health and safety provisions and the concept of "Competent Person". Topics will include: motor vehicle, mechanized and construction equipment safety; electrical safety, excavation and trenching; fall protection; PPE and lifesaving equipment; fire prevention and protection; signs, signals and barricades; and the latest OSHA Recordkeeping requirements.

Learning Objectives
This course will cover issues relevant to the health and safety of workers in the construction and the buildings and trades disciplines. It was developed by OSHA to promote safe construction workplace practices. Upon completion, the participants will be able to:
  • Distinguish between accident, incident and near-miss
  • Describe the theories of why incident’s happen and root cause analysis
  • Conduct an accident/incident/near-miss investigation that involves gathering complete, accurate and objective accident data that will enable the prevention of injuries, property damage and financial losses.
  • Follow OSHA recordkeeping regulations for recordable accidents
