What You Will Learn This course will teach you how to develop a Written Respiratory Protection Program; make respirator selection by evaluating worker exposure and protection factors; approaches for developing a cartridge change-out schedule for Air Purifying Respirators (APR); how to maintain and care for APR; and how to evaluate the effectiveness of your program. There will be a hands-on demonstration of the proper fit-testing methods and participants will receive a written respiratory program guideline.
Who Should Attend? Anyone with the responsibility of managing the respiratory protection program at their place of work, such as owners, operators, plant managers/superintendents, human resource personnel, facilities managers, EHS professionals, industrial hygienists, and site supervisors.
If your company issues respirators, OSHA requires a Written Respiratory Protection Program and an administrator must be is assigned to manage that program. The Program Administrator must show competence through training and experience. This course will provide the first step toward competency through comprehensive training and an understanding of the new requirements.
