What You Will Learn
As a construction project progresses the last words a building owner or manager wants to hear is "change order". Likewise a construction company does not want to become responsible for the costs and liability associated with accidental disturbance of hazardous materials. This half day workshop will focus on anticipating and responding to challenges that arise as a result of encountering mold, lead, or asbestos on a construction site. Topics will focus on developing pre-construction strategies for compliance with government regulations and industry best practices; how to plan ahead to avoid unnecessary public concern or even civil liability; and formulating contingencies for completing the construction on time and on budget.
Who Should Attend?
This course is perfect for building and facilities personnel, construction supervisors, building owners or project engineers in charge of a new construction or a structural renovation.
This course was developed and is presented by a LEED Accredited Professional and CIH.
