What You Will Learn
Learn about the Confined Space Entry Permit System and the possible hazards of working in a confined space. Gain knowledge that can help you protect yourself and your co-workers from engulfment, asphyxiation, poisoning, drowning, or other hazards.  Using a mix of hands-on activities, group workshops and lecture, this course will prepare you for the separate roles of the Entrant, Attendant, and Supervisor in a permit-required confined space situation. It will demonstrate the importance of team concepts and responsibilities, good communication practices, Lockout/Tagout procedures, Hot Works Safety, other safety considerations and effective problem solving. Understand the difference between "Permit-Required", "Alternate", or "Non-Permit Required" spaces. Learn about the implementation of a Written Confined Space program, the use of air monitoring, and recent regulatory changes

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who performs confined space entries or manages a confined space program at their job, such as public works, maintenance, facility, and utility workers, engineers, HVAC personnel, contractors and others.

Permit-Required Confined Space Entry training also applies to anyone who must work in Permit-Required Confined Spaces under the General Industry Standard.
