UNIQUE TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Emilcott was recently awarded an extremely important project assisting a Fortune 50 company to fulfill European Union mandates for chemical product safety reporting and documentation. We have an opening for 11-15 full and part-time temporary employees to help us complete this prestigious assignment.

Project duration will be approximately from January – July 2010.  Successful candidates will work directly for the Emilcott project staff managing this effort and closely with the client’s project team at the client’s location in Hunterdon County, NJ. There are opportunities for both full and part-time assignments, Mondays-Fridays with flexible hours between 7am and 7pm.  Training will be provided by both Emilcott and the client.

This is an excellent opportunity for college interns/co-ops and recent college graduates. We are looking for multi-talented individuals who are: 1) well-organized, 2) show high attention to detail, 3) independent workers and self-motivated, 3) team players, and 4) highly reliable.

In addition, you must 1) have your own transportation to worksite, 2) maintain a fixed work schedule,  3) be available for the duration of the project, and  4) pass a background check, skills proficiency testing, and drug/alcohol screening.

The purpose of this project is to help our client be in compliance with European Union (EU) REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) mandates. The fundamental REACH goal is to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals in the EU.  Detailed information about REACH can be found at the European Chemical Agency website: http://guidance.echa.europa.eu/about_reach_en.htm

POSITION 3207: FORMULATION PROCESSORS (FPs)
Under the direction of project management, FPs will prepare risk assessments of product formulations to generate REACH Chemical Safety Reports using client’s software tools.  Human and environmental risk research data will be provided from which FPs will be required to follow specific, detailed instructions to enter these data into a database used for generating REACH required reports.

Requirements: Formulation Processor applicants must be a candidate for, or hold, a BS or MS in biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, occupational or public health.  Staff selected for this position will be fluent in computer use and be able to quickly learn new software applications.  Ideal candidates will understand the principals of measuring risk from chemical exposures to humans and the environment.  Experience in toxicology, industrial hygiene or environmental health assessments highly sought. Candidates available for full-time are preferred.

Compensation for FPs:
25- 40 hours per week at $30/hour
May be eligible for bonus of one week salary awarded at completion of project

POSITION3208: DATA TRANSCRIBERS (DTs)
Under the direction of project management, DTs will flawlessly transpose information from paper copy documents or other electronic file media to the appropriate locations in a database while following detailed stepwise instructions for data entry to generate REACH Chemical Safety Reports or Safety Data Sheets.

Requirements: DT applicants must be a candidate for, or hold, a 2 or 4 year college degree.  Candidates must have proven ability to transpose scientific information into software database and have a high aptitude for detailed work. The staff selected for this position will be fluent in computer use. Ideal candidates will have taken some undergraduate science classes or have previous experience providing clerical support in a chemical manufacturing or research environment. Candidates available for full-time are preferred.

Compensation for DTs:

25- 40 hours per week at $20/hour

May be eligible for bonus of one week salary awarded at completion of project
