Confined Space Program Management
29 CFR 1910.146
|
What You Will Learn
Do you know the difference between a "Permit-Required", "Alternate", or "Non-Permit-Required" confined space and how to identify each? Incorrect identification can be life-threatening! This course will focus on the proper classification of confined spaces according to OSHA and how to control associated hazards. It will cover the OSHA requirements necessary to manage confined spaces and a confined space program. You will be shown how to develop safe entry programs, establish the appropriate rescue system, maintain the necessary documentation, and evaluate a program's effectiveness. Other topics include the implementation of a Written Confined Space Program; the use of air monitoring for hazard control and space identification; how to properly train employees; and recent regulatory changes. Most importantly, attendees will be able to evaluate their current programs to make improvements in management and employee training.
Who Should Attend?
Whether you are in charge of a facility, a department or an operation, and have oversight for confined space entries, this course will help you get results. Our training is directed at all managers, supervisors, forepersons, superintendents and team leaders from both construction and general industry.
Emilcott also offers an 8-Hour Permit-Required Confined Space Entry course.
